Conflex Corporation was founded in April 2000 by Dr. Kazuo Ohta. The company is located at AIOS Meguro 6F, 2-15-19, Kami-Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo 141-0021 Japan.

The company has on its Board of Directors, Dr. Hitoshi Gotoh, professor at Toyohashi University of Tempaku-cho, Toyohashi, Japan, who is the principal researcher and developer of the CONFLEX algorithms, and Dr. Eiichi Morishita formerly with the computational chemistry section at Sony-Tektronics of Tokyo.

Dr. Ohta was the primary architect and head programmer of the original CAChe/beta CONFLEX integration project. This project was conducted at Sony-Tektronics and integrated the beta version of CONFLEX with the then current CAChe software (Fujitsu, Ltd.). This experience showed Dr. Ohta the potential of high-accuracy conformational software as a stand-alone offering and was the driver for him breaking off with Drs. Gotoh and Morishita to form Conflex Corporation.

Today, nearly 5 versions and 9 years later from the CAChe integration project, Conflex Corporation is a very successful company serving prestigious clients in Japan such as:
